Meet a "unique" new patron here at the Gospel Barn, George Malone, aka "Cross Man."

Every once in a while someone shows up here at the Gospel Barn that deserves a "pat on the back" for the work that they do for the Lord. A couple
weeks ago, that person showed up. His name is George Malone.
He and his wife came to visit for the 1st time while "Strong Ties", a bluegrass gospel group was
singing. After the singing, I noticed a man handing out something to folks towards the back of the barn, next to the cafe'.
I went over to see what the excitement was about and met George. He was all smiles! He looked me straight in the
eyes and said, "would you like a cross?" I gladly took one of the most beautiful crosses I have ever seen. Hand crafted with
stones on the cross. Although you can't read the article below about the ministry that God has placed in George's hands, he
has given out over 400 crosses in numerous states. He
never asks anything in return! George is a former teacher "up north" and a member of Gray
Manor Lutheran Church in Baltimore, MD. He and his wife are here in Tennessee at their "summer home" for
a while. Here is a couple of quotes that George made: "I'm not afraid to declare that I'm a Christian where I am, and
sharing these crosses is like sharing the love of God." Speaking about the crosses he gives out freely, "They can give a sence
of hope. I know there are days that are tough and you need something to hang onto. Just know the good Lord is with you , and
if you need to, you can hang onto this cross."
